Chase Gallery 2027 Season

Overview

The Chase Gallery, located in Spokane City Hall, is accepting portfolios for the 2027 exhibition schedule. The gallery's mission is to exhibit works that engage the public, bring new perspectives on contemporary issues, feature innovative artwork, and provide space for people of all backgrounds to share their perspective through art. Two-dimensional, sculptural, installation, video, audio, traditional, and experimental artworks are encouraged. Individual artists, artist teams, and guest curator proposals for curated group shows are eligible.

Eligibility

• Must live in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Montana
• Priority placed on residents of the Intermountain NW (Eastern WA, Eastern OR, North ID)
• No AI-generated images, AI-prompted artwork, AI-assisted compositions, or artwork incorporating AI-generated visual elements, backgrounds, textures, figures, references, or source material

What to Submit

• Artist statement
• Artist résumé or CV
• 8–20 PDF files of work images (we will select work to exhibit from submitted images)
• Numbered list of works with title, dimensions, year completed, and medium
• Group show proposal, if applicable

Important Notes

If work is accepted for exhibition, wall pieces must be hanging ready. Artists are responsible for providing all necessary sound and projection equipment for video, new media, and sound installations. There are limitations on hanging artwork from the ceiling and open-audio (headphones acceptable). The artist is responsible for shipping and delivery of artworks. All digital works will go through an AI Image Detector.

Location

Chase Gallery is located at 808 W Spokane Falls Blvd, Spokane, WA 99201 (Lower Level adjacent to City Council Chambers). The gallery is free and open to the public whenever City Hall is open.
