About
About Sympoiesis
The residency is grounded in the concept of sympoiesis, a term coined by Donna Haraway meaning creation "with" others rather than alone. It invites collaboration between humans and non-humans (plants, animals, microorganisms, materials, technology) and approaches nature as an ally and co-author. The residency seeks to establish new alliances with environments through artistic practice, moving beyond the solitary-genius model toward interdependence, participatory art, and community-based creation.
