About
Overview
The City of Lone Tree and the Lone Tree Arts Commission seek submissions from Colorado artists or artist groups for the 2026 Traffic Cabinet Beautification Program. Selected designs will be printed on vinyl wrap to cover traffic control cabinets on all sides. A third-party design fabricator will handle printing and installation.

Eligibility
- Must be a Colorado resident

Design requirements
Work must be finalized artwork, not conceptual. Designs must engage all sides of the box; the top does not need a design. Avoid common iconography already used in Lone Tree and explore original avenues. Bright and vibrant colors are highly encouraged. Artwork may not contain advertising, religious art, sexual, violent, or other content unsuitable for all ages, and cannot convey political partisanship. All submitted designs must be original works in compliance with copyright laws.
Technical specifications
- Final files for printing must be in PDF vector format, 300 dpi
- Designs must be able to fit either cabinet size: 164" L x 69" H or 142" L x 82" H
- Work must be translatable to a digital file (fabricator cannot scan or convert physical paintings)

Selection and award
All submissions will be reviewed by the Lone Tree Arts Commission for compliance with requirements, creativity, and overall quality. The Arts Commission will assess each submission for its ability to enliven the public area and bring a unique concept to the program. The Lone Tree Arts Commission will choose 4 designs. $500 will be awarded to each artist/group selected.
