Overview

The City of Warsaw SAPERE AUSO scholarship program awards secondary school students for outstanding academic achievements, success in olympiads and scientific competitions, and innovative projects. The 16th edition of awards was presented to students for achievements in the 2022/2023 school year.

Eligibility

Students must attend secondary schools (ponadpodstawowe) in Warsaw. Awards are given to laureates of national and international subject olympiads and tournaments, as well as students with exceptional passion and achievements in their chosen field of knowledge.

Award Details

Scholarships (stipendia) from the City of Warsaw. Since 2008, over 2,800 scholarships totaling more than 5 million PLN have been awarded. In 2023, Warsaw allocated 437,000 PLN for this purpose.

Recent Recipients

Recent awardees include laureates from international competitions such as the International Young Physicists' Tournament (gold medal), International Baltic Geography Olympiad (medals), International Chemistry Olympiad (medals), International Physics Olympiad (medals), and European Mathematics competitions. Also recognized were creators of innovative applications and projects, including an effective learning app (Effectively), a shelter navigation app (SchronMapp), and the Smart City project platform.
