The program funds individuals and ensembles across all performing arts practices and disciplines, helping ensure the presence of U.S. artists on international stages.
USArtists International is designed to encourage the presence of U.S. performing artists on international stages and seeks to support international tours that develop and expand the careers and artistic goals of U.S. performers, include more than one engagement abroad, promote cross-cultural exchange, and elevate traditions, aesthetics, art forms, and/or voices that have been historically underrepresented.
Grants of up to $11,000 are available toward eligible expenses.
Grants require a one-to-one cost share (or match). The required match can include confirmed artist fees from festivals/engagements, additional funds from festivals/engagements, personal or organizational funds, and funds from other funders or non-federal grants. The match may not include Federal funds or in-kind (non-financial) contributions.
Every listing links to the organizer's official page. Always confirm deadlines, fees, and entry rules there before you apply.
Due to a change in federal grant requirements, fiscal sponsorship is no longer allowed as part of this program. Artists without 501(c)(3) status will need to apply as an individual and will be liable for any tax burden of receiving the grant.
