Narva Art Residency announces an open call for a Finno-Ugric creative residency in late 2026, organised in collaboration with the Department of Fashion Design of the Estonian Academy of Arts. Artists and creative people with roots from or strong ties to Finno-Ugric peoples are invited to create a contemporary art project inspired by Finno-Ugric cultures while collaborating with fashion design students.

  • November 23 – December 6, 2026 (10 days)

Open to various creative fields, including visual art, music, theatre, and performance.

  • Applicants must be from eligible Erasmus+ programme countries
  • Create a unique contemporary art project that introduces Finno-Ugric culture in a new and engaging form
  • Give an open lecture for the academy's students (1.5 hours)
  • Conduct two workshops for fashion design students (5 hours and 1.5 hours)
  • Involve the local Narva community and present your work
  • Participate fully during the residency period
  • Erasmus+ per diem allowance: €170 per day (€1,700 for the 10-day residency)
  • Accommodation at NART: €45 per day (€450 for the residency)
  • All artwork production costs covered
  • Travel costs reimbursed separately per Erasmus+ guidelines based on distance from domicile to Narva

Submit a completed application form including a description of your artistic work, the production budget, and the plan for the student workshops.
