The Mondriaan Fund is offering a 4-month residency at the Van Doesburg House in Meudon, Paris, a studio designed by Theo van Doesburg in the late 1920s. This residency provides visual artists, curators, and art critics the opportunity to conduct research, explore ideas, create new work, and further develop their artistic practice in an inspirational location.

  • 1 work period available: 27 September 2026 – 17 January 2027 (4 months)
  • €8,000 contribution to cover travel, material, and living expenses
  • 10% personal contribution expected from the resident (automatically deducted)
  • Contribution may be increased for residents based in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to compensate for higher travel costs
  • Thursday 26 February 2026 before 16:00 (Dutch time zone) / 11:00 (Caribbean time zone)

An advisory committee selects 3 residents based on submitted documents. Processing time for the selection procedure may exceed three months.

The Van Doesburghuis is a listed building. Residents must help preserve it and treat it with utmost care and respect. The house is open to the public between 14:00 and 18:00 on the first Saturday of every month in the presence of the resident(s). Residents are expected to be willing to receive guests outside of standard opening hours following consultation with the Foundation.
