ArtReach San Diego's After School Art Classes provide students with an inspiring, professional studio experience. Voted Best Art Classes for Kids in San Diego Magazine's Best of 2026, our 6-week programs cultivate creative confidence, social-emotional growth, and technical skill through hands-on projects led by practicing artists.

  • Monday 4:30 PM: Beginning Sewing—Practice hand-sewing techniques, basic stitches, and safe machine operation. Develop project planning skills and create functional and decorative items (pouches, pillows, small accessories).
  • Tuesday 4:30 PM: Collage—Explore process-based making that celebrates individual personality and creative freedom. Experiment with textures, layers, and stickers while developing artistic voice.
  • Wednesday 4:30 PM: Advanced Sewing—Build hand-sewing and sewing machine skills. Learn advanced machine navigation and troubleshooting for more technical projects. Present finished works in a final showcase.
  • Thursday 2:00 PM: Portrait Drawing—Develop skills and confidence to draw portraits from observation. Learn accurate face proportions and refine technical abilities.
  • Thursday 4:30 PM: Clay—Explore fundamentals of 3D design using pinch, coil, and slab building techniques. Practice problem-solving, fine motor development, and confidence through experimentation.
  • August 31 – October 8, 2026
