Overview
The Goethe-Institut is calling for applications from art practitioners of the Lower Mekong Subregion for a residency focused on surveying, researching, and creating works around myth-making in Trà Vinh, Vietnam. A showcase will be held at No Cai Bum Festival 2026 in late December.

Eligibility
The residency will select four art practitioners from the Lower Mekong Subregion (Vietnam, Laos PDR, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar). The open call welcomes emerging practitioners regardless of age whose practice and interest engage with the intersections of culture, history, and linguistics, or explores linguistic fragmentation, ruptures, and absences. Writers with a focus on creative writing, allegorical narratives, and critical fabulation are welcome, as are applicants interested in research-driven, experimental, or community-rooted methodologies.
