Applying

Overview

Application procedures differ enormously. Most programs on the Trans Artists website are open to artists from all nations, with or without deadlines. Usually artists are requested to send in documentation, a curriculum vitae, a motivation and if necessary a project proposal. Each institute has its own policy of adjudication. Participation is planned a long time in advance, usually six months, sometimes years ahead.

Before You Apply

• Decide when you want to go and confirm the period you are applying for
• Verify you can change dates if needed and have enough time for preparations
• Always check the deadline directly with the personnel in charge
• Determine which documentation you need to send in
• Review the selection criteria
• Check if there is an application fee
• Ask if you can get your documentation back
• Review any formal obligations you agree to by signing application documents

Selection & Agreements

Clarify whether acceptance, rejection, or placement on a waiting list is possible. If selected, obtain a signed or at least written document of agreements.
