FollowUnfollowRiitta KuismaBack To ArtistsBIOGRAPHYRiitta Kuisma is a Hong Kong based visual artist, who has been living in Hong Kong since 1997.Born in Finland, Riitta studied in a painting faculty at Turku Arts Academy before she left forMoscow to study monumental and decorative painting. She received Masters Degree inFine Arts in monumental painting and art criticism from Moscow State University ofIndustrial and Applied Arts (named Stroganov) in 1996.Besides being a portrait artist, Riitta’s works have a strong relation to nature. Her mural wallart, drawings and paintings often discuss the nature’s existence in interaction with human.Since 2015, Riitta has been working in Hong Kong on common and public mural projects,being called upon by Home Affairs Department, District Councils, nonprofit organisationsand local charities. Her clients also include property developers, hotels, restaurants, localcompanies and private home owners.Riitta has held solo exhibitions and joined many group exhibitions in Europe and Asia. Herworks can be seen in many public places in Hong Kong and in private collections all overthe world.
