Overview
SCA 2026 Elected Members Exhibition is the Society of Canadian Artists' most prestigious event of the year, celebrating the organization's growth and commitment to diverse artistic expression. All accepted and award-winning pieces will be displayed on the SCA website, with an option for in-person gallery participation.
Key Dates
- Submission Deadline: Sunday, October 4, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET

Theme & Categories
Artists are invited to explore what "Celebrate" means to them through two separate categories: Representational (detailed or personal interpretations of the world around us) and Contemporary (fresh perspectives, abstract to conceptual works). Each artwork may be submitted in either category.
Eligibility & Submission
- Open to SCA Elected Members only
- Submit up to three (3) artworks for jurying
- Up to two (2) artworks per artist will be accepted if selected
- Maximum dimensions: 24" x 24" without frame
- Artists may submit pieces in the same or different categories
Fees
- Elected Members: $50 for 3 artworks
Prizes
- 1st Award of Excellence: $2,500 (in each category)
- 2nd Award of Excellence: $1,000 (in each category)
- Creative Innovation Award: $750 (in each category)
- Artistic Expression Award: $750 (in each category)
- Technical Excellence Award: $750 (in each category)
- 8 Honourable Mention Awards: $500 each
- Mary Pratt Award: Additional $2,500 to the highest-scoring 1st Award of Excellence winner (total top prize: $5,000)
Exhibition Location
Online exhibition on the SCA website; in-person exhibition at Dignam Gallery, 23 Prince Arthur Avenue, Toronto, ON.
