Call For Submissions — Main Gallery

Overview

A Space Gallery, one of the oldest artist-run centres in Canada (founded 1971), is accepting submissions for exhibitions in the 2026 and 2027 seasons. The gallery features 1200 square feet of exhibition space with 120 linear feet of 10-foot-high walls and 13-foot ceilings. Artist fees are paid according to CARFAC standards.

• Submission deadline: June 25, 2026 at 3 p.m.
• Programming decisions made within at least four months of deadline

Eligibility

Open to artists working in all media. Curatorial proposals are also accepted.

How to Submit

A Space Gallery accepts digital submissions only. All materials must be submitted as a single PDF file of less than 1 MB (ideally under 900 KB), with a filename matching your first and last name. No zip files.

Required Materials

• CV(s) with contact information
• Up to 10 jpegs of previous work and/or work intended for exhibition (all images must be labeled with dimensions, media, title, and year)
• 100-word exhibition description
• One-page artist or curatorial statement and detailed project description
• List of technical requirements, equipment, and materials
• Video or audio link (5-minute maximum)
• Optional: reviews and additional support material
