Delta E, a women-owned engineering consulting firm, is seeking a professional artist to create a permanent, indoor mural within their professional workspace located in Pioneer Square.

  • Dimensions: 12' 4" (Width) x 7' 8" (Height)
  • Total project budget: $4,500 (inclusive of artist fees, travel costs, mural supplies, and materials)
  • July 29th, 2026 – RFQ Release Date
  • August 24th, 2026 – RFQ Submission Deadline
  • September 25th, 2026 – Finalists Shortlisted & Design Phase Begins
  • October 2026 – Artist Selected and Contracted
  • Nov/Dec 2026 (TBD) – Mural Installation Completed

50% of payment will be sent at the beginning of the project; 50% will be sent upon completion.

  • Letter of Intent (200 words maximum) describing your specific interest in this opportunity
  • Three high-quality images of completed past projects (priority given to large-scale public installations, indoor/outdoor murals)
  • Annotated Work Sample List corresponding to the three images, including title, dimensions, medium, and year of completion for each sample

Delta E is seeking a local artist with demonstrated technical capability to execute work at this scale, a distinct personal voice, and mural experience. Artists must be able to adhere to the project timeline. Artists representing minority-owned or women-owned businesses are encouraged to apply.

  • Phase 1 (Qualifications Review): All compliant RFQ submissions evaluated based on professional experience, artistic excellence, creativity demonstrated in previous work, and ability to execute a project of this scope and scale
  • Phase 2 (Finalist Round): Up to three finalists shortlisted to develop a design proposal, color palette, and material plan for final selection
