Overview
Aviário Studio Intaglio Printmaking Residency provides technical conditions, time, and space to develop ideas and try new approaches in printmaking, promoting connection and knowledge exchange between artists from different backgrounds. The residency can be a moment of experimentation and research or the consolidation of a project into a new body of work.
Residency Details
- Duration: 2 weeks to 4 months, defined by the artist's goals
- Focus: Intaglio techniques including drypoint, etching, aquatint, soft-ground etching, soap ground, mezzotint, carborundum, collagraph, solar plates
- Types: Self-directed, Guided Art Residency, or Assisted Production Residency
- Housing: Private bedroom in shared housing facility; spouses/partners allowed for full stay (non-collaborators)
- Studio Access: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
