Overview
Crossroads Art Center invites Gallery Members to submit artwork for a themed exhibition celebrating planes, trains, automobiles, and the art of motion, travel, and adventure. Artwork may be literal, symbolic, figurative, or entirely abstract as long as it connects to how we move.
Theme Inspiration
- Retro travel posters and transportation nostalgia
- Road trips, railways, flight paths
- Engines, mechanics, and industrial details
- Motion, speed, rhythm, and movement
- Transit stations, bridges, runways, and highways
- Stories of travel, adventure, connection, and change
- Abstract interpretations of motion, direction, or mapping

Painting, sculpture, mixed media, digital art, photography, fiber, wood, metal, ceramics, assemblage, and more.
Key Dates
- Call for Entry: August 1–16, 2026
- Artist Notification: Friday, August 21, 2026
- Artwork Drop Off: Tuesday, September 8–Friday, September 11, 2026 by Noon
- Exhibition Opening Reception: Friday, September 18, 2026, 5–8 PM

- A celebration of transportation in all its forms—planes, trains, automobiles, and the spirit of travel.
