Hoggetowne Medieval Faire 2027 - 40th Annual

Overview

The 40th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire invites artisans and craftspeople to sell and demonstrate medieval and related crafts (fantasy, Renaissance, Celtic traditions) in a marketplace setting. More than 80 artisans, performers, and musicians will participate in this highly anticipated event.

• Operating hours: 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (Sat/Sun); 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (Fri)

Gainesville Raceway, 11211 N County Road 225, Gainesville, FL 32609.

Eligibility & Restrictions

• All products and services must be consistent with medieval, fantasy, Renaissance, or Celtic themes in both materials and subject matter.
• Preference given to original, handcrafted products created by the artist or artisan who will be present during the event.
• Mass-produced, commercially manufactured, 3D-printed products, and items from commercial molds are discouraged and may be approved only in limited quantities.
• A limited number of service providers (fortune tellers, body artists, etc.) will be accepted to maintain a balanced Faire environment.
• A complete list of all booth staff must be submitted by December 19.

Application Requirements

Submit four digital images: three of individual pieces of work and one of your booth with work displayed. Images must be up to date and representative of what will be displayed. If entering in more than one category, additional images will be required.

Operating Requirements

• Saturday & Sunday, January 16, 17, 23, 24: 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Friday, January 22: 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Demonstrations encouraged; notify Faire staff of demonstration times for promotion.

Wait List Policy

If an exhibitor does not submit booth fees by the deadline or cancels, the open space will be offered to an exhibitor on the wait list in the same category, or to an exhibitor whose work fits best with surrounding booths. Each cancellation is considered on an individual basis.

Additional Policies

• Weather: The Faire is held rain or shine; no refunds or credits issued for weather delays or early closure.
• Sales Tax: Collection and remittance of Florida sales tax (7.5%) is the merchant's responsibility.
• Security: 24-hour security provided starting January 13; merchandise should be removed during closed hours.
• Vehicle Access: Pre-authorized participant vehicles must display parking pass and be off-site 45 minutes before opening; vehicles remaining on-site risk towing at owner's expense.
• Camping: Onsite dry camping available (no water/electric) with separate application; spaces limited and require reservation.
• Pets: Participant pets permitted in camping area only (except pre-approved entertainment animals); patron pets not permitted on Faire grounds.
• Participant IDs: Required for entry; staff must present valid photo ID and sign liability waiver.
