Submit four digital files (three images of individual pieces and one booth image) to apply for booth space at the medieval faire marketplace.

The 40th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire invites skilled artisans to display and sell medieval crafts, wares, and services in a bustling marketplace. More than 80 artisans will showcase traditional arts including weaving, blacksmithing, leatherworking, pottery, woodcarving, jewelry, and clothing alongside actors, musicians, and street performers.

  • Saturday & Sunday, January 16-17, 2027
  • Saturday & Sunday, January 23-24, 2027
  • Friday, January 22, 2027 (Student Day)
  • Gainesville Raceway, 11211 N County Road 225, Gainesville, FL 32609

Submit four digital files: three images of individual pieces of work and one image of your booth with work displayed. Images must be up to date and representative of what will be displayed. If entering in more than one category, additional images will be required, and Faire staff will follow up with submission instructions.

All products and services must be consistent with the medieval theme in both materials and subject matter. Related themes including fantasy, Renaissance, and Celtic traditions are eligible if they complement the Faire's atmosphere. Preference is given to original, handcrafted products created by the artist or artisan who will be present during the event. A limited number of service providers will be accepted to maintain a balanced environment.

Items inconsistent with the medieval, Renaissance, fantasy, or Celtic theme will not be accepted. Mass-produced merchandise, commercially manufactured items, 3D-printed products, and items created from commercial molds are discouraged and may be approved only in limited quantities.

  • Saturday & Sunday, January 16, 17, 23, 24: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday, January 22 (Student Day): 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

If an exhibitor does not submit booth fees by the deadline or cancels, the open space will be offered to an exhibitor on the wait list in the same category, or to an exhibitor whose work fits best with surrounding booths. There is no numbered waitlist; each cancellation is considered individually.

Merchant participant IDs will be issued to all approved participants and are required for entry. A complete list of all staff working in your booth must be submitted by December 19. All staff and volunteers must sign a liability waiver before authorization for site access. Participant vehicles requiring on-site access must be pre-authorized and display a parking pass. Vehicles must be off grounds 45 minutes before opening; vehicles remaining on-site after 9:15 a.m. (Saturday/Sunday) or 8:15 a.m. (Friday) will be towed at owner's expense. Vehicles cannot return until 30 minutes after closing (5:30 p.m. Saturday/Sunday; 4:30 p.m. Friday) or until public has completely exited the site.

Merchants and participants may camp onsite in dry camp only (no water or electric). Onsite camping is available January 13-26; applications and overnight camping passes required. Camping spaces are limited and reservations are required. A shower trailer will be provided. 24-hour security begins January 13 at 5:00 p.m. through January 26 at 5:00 p.m., but merchants are advised to remove merchandise during closed hours and mid-week. Collection and remittance of Florida sales tax (7.5%) is the responsibility of each merchant.
