Overview
The New Emergence Art Prize 2026 is an international open call for emerging artists working in any medium. The prize offers recognition, visibility and meaningful career support through a £5,000+ prize fund, 9 awards, independent judging, and an online exhibition for shortlisted artists.

Eligibility
Artists worldwide are eligible. There are no restrictions on training, education, age, nationality, gender, race or sexual orientation.
What to Submit
Artists may submit up to 3 original artworks in any medium, including paintings, drawings, original prints, photography, sculptures, digitally produced artworks, mixed media constructions, video, sound, digital applications and installations.

- Grand Prize: £1,000 cash
- NG Art Creative Residency: 2-week residency in Provence, France (€2000 value)
- The Art Ladder Prize: 1-year subscription to mentoring programme (£800 value)
- Staedtler UK Award: £300+ in products
- Rosemary & Co Award: £300 gift card
- New Emergence Art Founder's Prize: £300 cash
- GreatArt Award: £250 in materials
- Michael Harding Watercolour Prize: £150+ in materials

Judging & Shortlist
Final selections will be made by an independent judging panel who will consider concept, execution, originality and impact. Shortlisted artists will be featured in an online exhibition presented by New Emergence Art. Shortlisted artworks and prize winners will also be permanently featured on the New Emergence Art website.
Exhibition & Sales
New Emergence Art takes a 10% commission on sales made through the exhibition to cover payment processing and administration costs. Shortlisted artists are responsible for safe packaging and shipping of sold works. Shipping costs and fulfillment details will be liaised with New Emergence Art once a sale is confirmed.
