About
Overview
The Baytown Sculpture Trail is in its sixth year in 2027, presenting a juried exhibition of original outdoor sculptures displayed year-round in the Arts, Culture, and Entertainment (ACE) District in historic Downtown Baytown, Texas. Up to twenty sculptures will be selected. The sculptures are owned by the artist and loaned to the exhibit for one year.

Eligibility
Open to professional and amateur sculptors of all backgrounds.
Submission requirements
- Up to 5 pieces per artist
- Artists must register with ArtCall.org before submitting (if not previously registered)
- Submission signifies understanding and agreement with Terms and Conditions

- First two submissions: $25 each
- Submissions three through five: $18 each
Jury and awards
The Sculpture Trail Jury will critique entries on artistic merit, creativity, durability, and public safety in an outdoor setting. Each sculptor selected for the 12-month exhibition will receive a $1,500 honorarium per sculpture chosen. Visitors may vote for their favorite sculpture; the People's Choice Award ($1,000) will be announced in early January. A jury of independent artists will select Best of Show ($1,000) in mid-January. Each exhibition sculptor will receive 2 complimentary nights at a popular Baytown hotel for the reception.
Sales and leasing
Sales of any work in the exhibition are subject to a 30% commission. Sculpture Trail patrons have the option of leasing sculptures for display at their business location for an additional year, subject to a 25% commission. In the first four years of the trail, 28 works were sold and 22 were leased.
