Get matched →Casa Lü Parque is a Mexico City residency for emerging and mid-career visual artists designed for those entering a period of experimentation, transition, or expansion in their practice. Residents live and work in a small international cohort, combining independent studio time with weekly meetings, feedback sessions, cultural visits, and direct engagement with Mexico City's contemporary art scene.
The residency follows a progression from initial presentations and feedback conversations to a final group exhibition. At the beginning, residents introduce their work and begin engaging with Mexico City through organized visits. Midway through, meetings focus on feedback and experimentation. Toward the end, conversations shift toward presentation and installation, concluding with a group exhibition and opening reception.
A portfolio is required. There is no application fee. Applicants are selected based on the strength of their work, the clarity of their artistic direction, and their potential to benefit from Casa Lü's structured residency environment. Applications are open year-round.
Casa Lü offers partial scholarship support to accepted artists who request financial assistance, applied directly as a reduction of the residency fee. Additional support is available for artists born and currently living in Latin America. Once admitted, Casa Lü provides an official acceptance letter to support external funding applications. Requesting funding does not affect acceptance.
