Submit up to six artworks in stained glass, painted glass, textiles, prints, sculpture, mixed media, ceramics, installation, digital, film, or video responding to themes of eyes, power, guardianship, and vision.

An exhibition celebrating The Art Department's new home at a former Argos building in Paisley. Artists are invited to create painted, stained glass, and mixed media work responding to themes inspired by the Greek god Argos Panoptes and the symbolism of eyes: power & guardianship, the all-seeing eye, eyes of truth, the third eye, the public eye, private eye, the iris and visions of the cosmos, tattoo art, eastern eyes, and the eye of Ra.

  • Submissions open: 7th February
  • Submissions close: 31st October 2026
  • Artists notified: 8th November 2026
  • Hand-in: 16–30th November 2026
  • Exhibition opens: 1st December 2026
  • Exhibition closes: 31st January 2027
  • Hand-back: 1–6th February 2027
  • Remittance of sales: by 31st March 2027

Open to international artists. There is no hanging fee.

No entry fee. Sales commission is 30% plus VAT (VAT applied to commission element only). Sales are in gallery only.

  • Opening hours: Tues–Sat 10am–4pm (closed Sun/Mon)
  • Sales proceeds benefit the charity and contribute to organisation, hanging, and marketing costs
