Overview
The Deines Cultural Center is accepting submissions for the 6th Annual Mystery, Magic & Macabre Juried Exhibition, celebrating talented and innovative artists whose work is thoughtful, imaginative, and uniquely portrays the enchanting, mysterious, and surreal.
Key Dates
- Submission deadline: September 10, 2026
- Artist notification: September 19, 2026
- Work delivery deadline: October 7, 2026
- Exhibition dates: October 16 – November 20, 2026
- Awards announced: October 23, 2026 (reception) and October 28, 2026 (email)
Eligibility
Open to artists 18 years or older living in the United States. All works must be original, completed within the last 3 years, and not previously exhibited at the Deines Gallery. All works must be for sale.
Media & Submissions
- Submit 1–3 images of your work
- Exclusions: no installation art, videos, AI works, copies, kits, or giclée reproductions
- 2D works must be framed and wired for hanging
- No graphic violence
- Artworks depicting graphic violence will not be accepted
Awards
- 1st Place: $500
- 2nd Place: $250
- 3rd Place: $150

Judging will take place in person. No substitution, exchange, modification, or withdrawal of works is permitted after they are accepted.
