Medici Residency XR Farnese - Villa Medici

Overview

The Medici Residency XR Farnese is a one-month residency program initiated by the French Embassy in Italy and Institut Français Italia in partnership with the French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici. The program is dedicated to immersive creation in XR and is managed by NewImages, an international event dedicated to XR. The resulting work will be acquired by Rai Cinema.

• One-month residency at Villa Medici in Rome
• Work acquisition and distribution by Rai Cinema throughout Italy

Eligibility

Open to French authors or authors based in France.

• Portfolio of previous projects
• Letter of recommendation (optional)
• Long synopsis of the project
• Note of intent
• Technical data sheet
• Visuals of the project (if applicable)
• Financing plan
• Provisional production schedule
• Work plan envisaged for the residency

Selection Committee

A selection committee composed of the Director of Villa Medici (or representative), representatives of NewImages, Institut français Italia, and Rai Cinema will evaluate eligible projects.
