GCAC is accepting applications for annual Cultural Festival Funding from festivals with a primary focus on presenting the arts (dance, fashion, film, literary, music, theater, visual arts) that celebrate cultural heritage and reach immigrant, refugee, and new American audiences. Eligible applicants may request $3,500.

Eligibility
- Festival must take place within Franklin County
- Festival must be pre-existing (have taken place at least once before)
- Main focus must be centered on preserving or immersing people in arts and cultural heritage related to immigrants, refugees and new Americans
- Food and beverage festivals are not eligible
- Ineligible events: exhibitions or performances unrelated to a festival; events focused on competitions, award shows, fundraising or promoting a specific cause
Festival Programming
Festival programming may reflect customs and art forms passed down through generations, include traditional music, dance, food and crafts, honor symbolic and/or ritualistic ceremonies, and observe natural events with cultural significance.

Review Process
GCAC staff will review funding requests via email for eligibility. If eligible, applicants will be invited to apply through the application portal and will be notified by email of the award status (approved or declined).
Award & Payment
- No changes in the project can occur without prior written approval from GCAC
- Failure to obtain approval could impact future funding eligibility
Publicity Requirements
GCAC requires that all organizations receiving Cultural Festival Funding demonstrate the public value of the arts by acknowledging the award and public funders. Grantees should credit GCAC for all events associated with the project activities using website pages, social media posts and events, print materials, curtain speeches, e-newsletters and on-site signage.
