The project will bring together a group of women and gender-nonconforming artists to create functional ceramic works that will be activated through a communal public dinner with a portion of the proceeds going to a food-access organization. Selected artists will work in collaboration with a ceramic studio that will produce and bisque-fire the plate and bowl forms in advance. Artists will not need to build or bring their own ceramic pieces. Each artist will begin with the same pre-made white clay plate and bowl forms and translate their own practice and visual language onto the surfaces through glazing.
