Overview
In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Route 66, artCentral proudly presents Preserving the Spirit, a juried photography exhibition showcasing the iconic landmarks, landscapes, and spirit of America's most historic highway. This exhibition invites photographers to capture Route 66 in all its forms—from neon-lit motels and vintage gas stations to vast landscapes, small-town main streets, and the people who embody the road's enduring character.
Key Dates
- Artwork Drop-Off: No later than September 19, 2026
- Opening Reception: September 25, 2026 • 6:00–8:00 p.m.
- Exhibition Run: September 25 – October 30, 2026
- Artwork Pick-Up: October 31, 2026 (all artwork shipped must have a return shipping label)
Eligibility
Open to all photographers, 18 years and older, nationwide.
Media & Size Requirements
- Must be photographs
- Must be Route 66 inspired
- Must be for sale (NFS will not be considered)
- Creative edits allowed
- Sizes up to 36" x 48" accepted; larger works considered with pre-approval
- Photography must be framed, wired, and ready for professional gallery hanging (no saw tooth)
- May be printed on canvas or on other various materials

All works must be original, created by the submitting artist. Photographers may submit up to 3 works for jury consideration.
