Get matched →The SPREEWALDATELIER, an open-air event for sculptors and cartoonists, takes the concept of “art in public space” literally. Every two years in September, approximately 20 sculptors and cartoonists gather in the heart of Lübbenau's old town. For one week, artists from around the world use chainsaws and pens in front of the public to capture unique snapshots and translate them into their respective artistic forms of expression. This results in expressive objects made from logs and sharp punchlines on paper. The fascinating aspect is that everything happens up close, live, and at eye level between visitors and artists.
The SPREEWALDATELIER 2027 will explore the theme of TRANSFORMATION.
