Overview
The 2026 Foundwork Artist Prize is an international juried award recognizing outstanding artistic practices in any media. One artist will be selected as the 2026 Honoree, and three additional artists will be selected to the 2026 Short List.

Eligibility
Open to artists internationally across all visual media including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital/electronic arts.
Awards
- Honoree: $10,000 unrestricted grant, studio visits with each of the five jurors, and an interview for Foundwork's Dialogues program
- Short List (3 artists): $1,000 micro-grant each to support their practice
Jury
The 2026 jury comprises five leaders in the contemporary art community: Stefan Benchoam (Artist and Co-Founder of Proyectos Ultravioleta and NuMu, Guatemala City), François Ghebaly (Founder of François Ghebaly Gallery, Los Angeles), Manuela Moscoso (Executive and Artistic Director of the Center for Art, Research and Alliances (CARA), New York), Gabi Ngcobo (Director of Kunstinstituut Melly, Rotterdam), and Esther Schipper (Founder of Esther Schipper Gallery, Berlin).
