Get matched →This grant supports publicly accessible museums wishing to make structural purchases of art and/or design created after 1945 based on their collection programs and acquisitions plans. The aim is to increase the quality, coherence and visibility of the Netherlands Art Collection.
Major acquisitions that fit into the museum's collection plan and are displayed to the public on a permanent or semi-permanent basis. Museums may alternatively commission a visual artist to create one or more works of art for the collection, as part of their acquisition plans.
Publicly accessible Dutch institutions listed with the Museums Register managing a substantial collection of contemporary visual art and/or design. Private museums, art schools, and post-academic institutions are not eligible.
Submit through the Mondriaan Fund's online application system. You must have an account to access the application form and upload requested documentation.
