About
Overview
The Audio Recording Engineer program is a continuing education residency for emerging recording engineers with mature artistic insight, advanced practical skills, and significant professional experience or high level of professional training. Participants learn recording and post-production techniques while supporting the Intercultural Music Residency: Soundweavings 2027 and Banff Centre's diverse recording needs.

Eligibility
- Required skills: working knowledge of ProTools and Pyramix desirable
- Practical understanding of file creation and management
- Ability to manage resources, produce to schedule, multitask effectively with strong time management, diplomacy and communication skills
- Canadian Indigenous applicants eligible for enhanced scholarship support
Fees & Financial Support
- Application Fee: $65 CAD ($35 CAD for applicants who identify as Indigenous)
- Residency Fee (before scholarships): $11,713.80 CAD total (tuition, accommodation, meal plan)
- Banff Centre Arts Scholarship: 100% of tuition + 25% of meal plan and accommodation costs (all arts participants)
- Canadian Indigenous Scholarship: 100% of tuition + 100% of meal plan and accommodation costs
- Typical cost after scholarship: $3,682.35 CAD
