´ace (arte contemporáneo en expansión / expanding contemporary art) is a residency program for artists, curators, and researchers. Production Residencies span 4 weeks and support emerging and professional artists in creating new bodies of work or developing works in progress. Residents receive support from the ´ace team and associated professionals through collective meetings and permanent feedback.

The program emphasizes expanded art practices (both physical and digital), including visual arts, performance art, sound art, and curatorial projects. There is special interest in proposals that use various mediums or dissolve borders between them. A printmaking workshop fosters the idea of the multiple in art, involving traditional and innovative printmaking, installation, photography, artist books, painting, illustration, video, stop motion, sound art, and new media.

Open to artists, curators, and researchers at any stage of career.

  • January 31st
  • April 30th
  • July 31st
  • October 31st

Production Residencies may conclude with a closing exhibition, a site-specific installation, or an open studio format presentation to the local public.

Since 2005, ´ace has worked as a driving force linking different artistic practices within their cultures and between residents and the cultural, urban, and social community of Buenos Aires.
