Foundwork announces the international open call for the 2026 Foundwork Artist Prize, an annual juried award for contemporary artists working in any media.

  • Registration Deadline: September 25, 2026, 5pm PT
  • Selection Period: September 25, 2026, 5pm PT – December 31, 2026, 5pm PT

Open to artists residing anywhere in the world with limited exceptions.

Artists must register and maintain a profile on the Foundwork platform throughout the 2026 selection period with at least six artworks and an artist statement published on their profile page.

  • Honoree: $10,000 USD unrestricted grant, studio visits with each of the five jurors, and long-form interview as part of Foundwork's Dialogues program
  • Short List (3 artists): $1,000 USD micro-grant each

The 2026 jury comprises five leaders within the contemporary art community: Stefan Benchoam (Guatemala City), François Ghebaly (Los Angeles), Manuela Moscoso (New York), Gabi Ngcobo (Rotterdam), and Esther Schipper (Berlin).
