Artists are invited to explore and celebrate darkness as an elegant and indispensable realm of our shared human experience. Darkness embodies infinite potential, vibrant creativity, and profound depth—often emerging through moments that challenge, inspire, and empower us.

Eligibility
Applications must be of original work completed in the last two to three years and not previously shown in the HJ's Gallery.
Media & installation
- 2D works must be wired or D-ringed (hanging system cannot accommodate saw-tooth or small triangle rings)
- 3D works accepted only if they can be wired, hung on a hook, and are stable for constant traffic and children
Commission & support
The gallery takes a 30% commission on sales. The artist is responsible for installation, with the art coordinator available to assist. HJ's will print 200 postcards, 20 8.5×11 inch and 10 11×17 inch posters, provide social media marketing, and make available the electronic announcement for the artist's own e-marketing.
After acceptance
Accepted artists will provide materials for press releases and announcements, including an artist portrait and a complete inventory of all works to be shown in the HJ's Google Sheet.
