Duration & Location
One month residency in Brazil, October 22 to November 30, 2025.
Accommodation & Facilities
Single spacious rooms with bathroom, linen, and towels. Access to collective atelier, woodworking workshop, pottery wheel, ceramic kiln, sound recording studio, sewing machine, tools, projectors, free internet, on-site parking, and community bicycles. Shared kitchen, laundry, swimming pool, and communal areas.
Programs & Activities
Workshops and sessions include: 'A Mythology for the Sacred' with photographer Marcelo Reis; conversations on residencies in archaeological sites with curator Márcio Harum; portfolio development session with artist Cris Suzuki; indigenous film screenings with philosopher Cris Takua and filmmaker Carlos Papá; screening of 'São Paulo S/A' (1965) with filmmaker Regina Jeha; contemporary dance workshop with choreographer Jorge Garcia (November 10–15); creative writing workshop with Ivan Nisida; yoga and Afro dance sessions; hike in the Atlantic Forest; visits to cultural spaces, handmade paper studio, and fishermen's village; workshop with local schoolchildren; and special live sessions with FAMILIA KAAYSA collaborative network.
Fee & Support
1,800 Euro for one month residency, including accommodation, mediation, curator, and production assistance. Not included: transport, food, and insurance.
Expectations & Requirements
No final output required. Artists must present their portfolio and are asked (not obligated) to conduct a workshop with local students.
