The Task
Create a sculptural artwork or artistic design that engages with the building, its experience by users, and the school community. The work should form the entrance area between the public street and the main entrance, using preferably natural, sustainable, and weather-resistant materials. It should welcome students and visitors, express openness, community, and cultural diversity. The multiple languages spoken at the school should be recognizable as expressions of belonging, encounter, and mutual respect. The design should be directly experiential for children—playful, tactile, and scaled to their world—promoting interaction, use, and identification with the school.
