May 21, 2026 Open Courtesy of MUUS Collection MUUS Collection, a New Jersey-based organization that represents the archives of twentieth-century American photographers — including Larry Fink, Rosalind Fox Solomon, and Todd Webb — has launched the MUUS Collection Research Fellowship, open to one curator or academic. The fellow will receive a $20,000 grant, access to physical archive materials — including works, journals, contact sheets, and cameras — and to the online research portal MUUSEUM. The organization will also work collaboratively with the fellow to support the placement, publication, and/or exhibition of the resulting project. Applicants must have a minimum of five years of professional experience in museums, galleries, universities, or similar cultural institutions, and must demonstrate written and spoken English proficiency. The fellowship is open to candidates worldwide; those from underrepresented or marginalized communities are especially encouraged to apply. Willingness to travel to Tenafly, New Jersey for up to one week is required. Applications are free and close on July 31, 2026. The winner will be selected in October and announced at Paris Photo. The fellowship runs from November 2026 to November 2027. The jury comprises Nathalie Herschdorfer (Photo Elysée), Sarah Meister (Aperture), Sophie Wright (MUUS Collection), Mark Sealy (Autograph), and Paul Roth (Image Centre).
