About
Overview
The Cité internationale des arts, in partnership with the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in France, is offering a research residency program for Dominican visual artists. Two selected artists will spend three months in Paris developing an artistic project or research, engaging with the local art scene, and connecting with an international community of approximately 300 artists.
Residency Dates
- Residency 1: January 5–March 26, 2027
- Residency 2: April 2–June 28, 2027
Eligibility
- Dominican national
- Resided in Dominican Republic for at least 2 years at time of application
- Minimum 3 years professional artistic experience
- Work professionally in visual art or eligible related discipline
- Able to communicate professionally in English or French
- Available for full residency period
- No age limit
- Collective applications not accepted
- No previous Cité internationale des arts residents

Selection Criteria
A multidisciplinary jury representing the program partners and invited art and culture professionals will evaluate the quality and originality of the artist's practice, the proposed project, the relevance of Paris to the research, the methodology and potential professional connections with the Paris art scene.
