Overview
Join the Sebastopol Center for the Arts celebration of the Handwork 2026 American Year of Craft. Finely Crafted invites artists working in ceramics, glass, wood, or metal to submit work exemplifying true craft: original, uniquely expressive pieces created with skilled hands, inspired by the material itself, celebrating traditional origins.

Eligibility
Open to artists worldwide. Work must not have been previously shown in the SebArts Gallery. Only work produced in the last 5 years may be submitted.
Media & dimensions
Ceramics, glass, wood, or metal only. Work must fit through a 7' by 7' gallery door and fit on a 10-foot high wall. Maximum capacity: 300 lbs for free-standing artwork, 50 lbs for wall-hung works. Artwork outside these limitations will be assessed case by case.
Submission requirements
Submit up to 3 pieces online only. Each piece requires 2 detailed images in JPEG format, 5 MB or less. Additional images available at $5 per image per piece. Submit high-quality images that best represent your work; work differing from submission images may not be included.
Fees & awards
- Entry: $35 for 1st application (2 images); $10 for 2nd application (2 images); $10 for 3rd application (2 images)
- 1st Place Prize: $1,500
- 2nd Place Prize: $750
- Ceramics Award: $250; Glass Award: $250; Wood Award: $250; Metal Award: $250
- Four Coordinator Awards
- Commission: Artists receive 60% of sales price; SebArts receives 40%
Shipping & delivery
Artists are responsible for all shipping costs. Shipped work must arrive by Friday, October 16th, 2026, in a reusable container with installation instructions and a prepaid return label (UPS or FedEx). Ship to: ATTN: VISUAL ARTS TEAM, SebArts, 282 S. High St, Sebastopol, CA 95472. Unsold work with valid return shipping forms will be shipped within 15 days of the show's last day. Inspect returned artwork within 14 days of receipt and report concerns to SebArts within that time; SebArts is not responsible for damage after 15 days.
