About the residency
ON DURATION is a curated residency founded by Dr. Raegan Truax, designed for artists exploring duration as artistic method, material, and public praxis. Residents investigate time, endurance, body, and environment within Blanca's mountains, river valley, orchards, and semi-desert, developing research and practice alongside others working radically with time.
Duration and dates
- Residency periods: 1 or 2 months
- Start dates: 1st of each month

Accommodation
- Individual apartment
- Private room in shared house
Studio and workspace
Residents work at Centro Negra with multipurpose studios inside the mountain, outdoor terraces, and access to surrounding landscape including cliffs, orchards, riverside, and semi-desert. Practice includes self-organized time plus weekly collective sessions.
Support and mentoring
- Mentoring and studio visits with Dr. Raegan Truax
- Documentation photo/video
- Guidance toward site-responsive practice
- Access to AADK community and peer networks
- Basic equipment and shared resources
Fees
- 1 month with individual apartment + studio: 1700 EU
- 1 month with room in shared house + studio: 1350 EU
- One month extension: 1000 EU
- Group application (2–4 artists): 2500–4000 EU (must apply as a group/artist collective)
