Overview
Surel's Place offers month-long residencies in a one-bedroom home with a spacious studio for artists aged 25 and older. Located in the heart of the Surel Mitchell Live-Work-Create District in Boise, the residency provides a quiet place to create while being a short walk from downtown. The program is open to visual, literary, multimedia and performance artists of promise and renown at any point in their careers.

- Average 1 artist in residence at a time
Stipend & Costs
- Monthly stipend: $100 per week for living expenses

Eligibility

All applications reviewed by experienced artists in their own discipline. Surel's Place staff make final determinations based on peer recommendations, availability, and timing. The organization seeks to view all decisions through a lens of antiracism and is committed to elevating artists of all backgrounds and disciplines.
