Overview

The F+F Zurich Visual Arts Studio Grant supports Zurich-based artists with a residency in a live/work studio in Zurich and a contribution towards living costs.

Eligibility

The grant is for individuals who have resided in Zurich for at least one year (reference date: January 1 of the previous year). The Cultural Department promotes professional cultural creation in performing arts, film culture, literature, music, and visual arts, as well as interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary projects. The application must have a connection to the City of Zurich.

Award Details

• Free use of the studio for 12 months.
• Monthly contribution to living costs of 1000 Swiss Francs.

Exclusion Criteria

• The F+F studio grant is awarded only once to the same person.
• Artists who received a grant from the Cultural Department in the previous year are excluded from participation in the following year.
• It is not possible to apply for a work grant, an international studio grant, an F+F studio grant, or a work contribution in the same year.

Application Requirements

• Proof of residence: Certificate of registration, residence confirmation.
• Portfolio (one PDF file, max. 20 pages, max. 9 MB): Works from the last 3 years.
• Motivation letter.
• Artistic biography.

Studio Location

The live/work studio is located in the school buildings of the F+F School for Art and Design in Zurich.
