Get matched →The Writers & Artists Residency in San Miguel de Allende welcomes artists, writers, and creative practitioners from different disciplines and backgrounds. Residents benefit from a private 40 m² studio, independent accommodation, shared facilities, and a peaceful environment in which to focus on their creative practice. The program is self-guided, allowing residents to develop their own projects and working rhythms. Depending on the residency period and the nature of their projects, residents may participate in exhibitions, presentations, workshops, open studios, and community activities.
Camino Al Arte is located in the historic rural community of Atotonilco, approximately 20 minutes from downtown San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico.
The residency is open to artists based anywhere in the world, at any stage of their career. The residency length can range from 2 weeks to 6 weeks. Languages supported are English and Spanish. There are typically 2 artists in residence at a time.
Camino Al Arte offers scholarship opportunities through specific residency programs, including the Impact Community Residency and the annual Vonnegut Residency Scholarship for Writers.
