The fair will bring together 38 galleries and 7 project spaces from 9 cities across the country, showcasing works by over 500 artists in a luminous and enchanting setting spanning two floors of the Grand Quay.
Grand Quay, Port of Montreal, 200 de la Commune St. W., Montreal, QC H2Y 4B2. The venue is accessible, with an entrance on the 1st floor (door 3, east side) for visitors with reduced mobility.
The fair offers a rich and dynamic program including panel discussions, guided tours, workshops, large-scale installations, and a special curated exhibition.
Curated by Sophie Latouche and located on the second floor of the fair, ANTICIPATION explores the premonitory power of contemporary artworks. Drawing on science fiction, especially the writings of Octavia E. Butler, the exhibition envisions the future as a practice of adaptation through the revitalization of materials, the reactivation of images and archival objects, utopia, and time-based processual practices. The exhibition brings together works by eleven artists from different generations.
