Overview

Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS) offers a Research Residency Program for international and local creators to stay, conduct research on arts and culture in Tokyo, and engage in creative activities. The program welcomes artists from various creative fields including visual arts, design, architecture, music, performing arts, curation, art criticism, cultural research, and writing.

Residency Details

  • Duration: 6 to 12 weeks
  • Locations: Sumida-ku, Tokyo (near Ryogoku Sumo Hall, Sumida Hokusai Museum, Edo-Tokyo Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, and Tokyo Skytree)
  • Number of residents: 5

Residency Periods

  • September–November 2027
  • January–March 2028
