AA2A offers practising artists access to specialist facilities, workshops and equipment at 18 partner universities and colleges across England. Residencies support artists to develop their creative practice, experiment with new approaches and connect with academic communities.

What you get
Selected artists receive a residency during the 2026/27 academic year providing access to specialist workshops, equipment, facilities and creative communities. Each artist is offered a minimum of 100 hours of access, alongside opportunities to connect with staff, students and other artists. Some hosts may offer additional opportunities such as artist talks, workshops, exhibitions or engagement with students.
