Get matched →Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS) offers a Research Residency Program for international and local creators working in various creative fields. Participants will stay, engage in creation, and conduct research activities in Tokyo, with an emphasis on actively exchanging ideas while engaging in creative activities.
Open to international and local creators in the field of visual art, film, design, architecture, music, sound art, performing art and curation.
Four creators will be selected for a residency period of 6 to 12 weeks. Each resident receives a living space (single room) and studio/workspace.
TOKAS Residency is located in Sumida-ku, Tokyo, an area where old town culture and local industries remain. Nearby attractions include Ryogoku Kokugikan (Sumo Hall), Sumida Hokusai Museum, Edo-Tokyo Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, and Tokyo Skytree.
No application fees. No studio fees or support fees.
