Open to current Signature Members of the Northwest Pastel Society. Submissions are made online via ShowSubmit. Signature members may submit up to 3 paintings with one painting guaranteed to be included, provided that it meets the eligibility criteria.

  • Acceptance notification: By Tuesday, September 22, 2026
  • Artwork delivery: Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 11am–1pm
  • Exhibition dates: November 5–28, 2026
  • Opening reception: Friday, November 6, 2026, 5–8pm (awards begin at 5pm)
  • Artwork pick-up: Tuesday, December 1, 11am–1pm
  • 3-Day Workshop: November 4–6, 2026 (Pastels with Joy)
  • Work exhibited in previous NPS shows is not eligible
  • Work that has won a top award (Best of Show, first, second, or third place) in any other international, national, or regional art show is not eligible
  • All entries must be for sale and realistically priced
  • Work may not be exhibited concurrently in other shows or competitions
  • Minimum unframed size: 9x12" or 108 square inches
  • Maximum unframed size: 18x24" or 432 square inches
  • All artwork must be framed with clear glass or high-quality clear acrylic (no matte or non-glare glass or acrylic)
  • Larger works should use anti-reflective glass or acrylic such as True Vue AR Glass, Museum Glass, or Optium Museum Acrylic
  • Mats must be proximal to the painting's surface and clear of pastel dust
  • Professional framing standards required

$30 for up to 3 images. Entry fee is nonrefundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.

Marla Baggetta is the Juror of Selection & Awards. $2,000 in cash and merchandise awards will be given.

Submit online at ShowSubmit. Submitted images must NOT include mat or frame and should be cropped to include only the artwork. Ensure images are right side up and listed to the nearest inch. Images should be in JPG format, under 30 MB, in sRGB color space. Framed dimensions (estimated to the nearest inch) are required upon entry. Entry forms must be filled out in their entirety; no changes are allowed after the entry deadline. Accepted artwork must be identical to the digital entry. Entry into this exhibition constitutes agreement with all conditions and is a binding legal contract.

Deliver accepted framed artwork directly to Scott Milo Gallery on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, between 11am and 1pm. Regional drop-off locations may be announced by NPS. Alternatively, artists may ship artwork directly to show chair Deb Cepeda at their own expense and liability. Return shipment of unsold artworks is at the artist's expense. All accepted artwork must have a completed NPS label (provided with acceptance letter) attached to the painting's back and taped to the upper left corner or affixed to the hanging wire.

Open to current Signature Members of the Northwest Pastel Society (NPS). Signature status requires acceptance into three separate NPS Open International Exhibitions and must be maintained through continuous annual membership dues.
