Overview
Argo residencies provide time and space to develop your creative practice in a social, supportive, and stimulating environment with a focus on process, not products. Open to artists, writers, performers, musicians, scholars, and any other creative discipline. All residencies take place in Athens, Greece.

Location & Accommodations
- Private bedroom in shared housing facility or shared bedroom available
- Inaccessible housing; no meals provided
- Shared kitchen access; budget €100-€300 per week for food
Studio & Facilities
- Private or shared dedicated studios
- Part-time technicians available
- Performance/presentation facilities and dance studio (without sprung floor)
- Painting workspace with easels, drawing benches, drying racks
- Textiles workspace, well-ventilated spray room, dedicated wood shop with tools
Residency Length & Participants
Residencies range from 14 days to 2 months. Average of 4 artists in residence at a time. May apply as a team (collaborative residency).
Eligibility
- Age 18-118
- Any stage of career (emerging, mid-career, established)
- Open to artists based anywhere in the world
- Applications welcome from actors, animators, architects, conservators, dancers, writers, musicians, visual artists, and other creative disciplines
Fee & Costs
- €65 per night for private bedroom
- €50 per night for shared room
- €80 per night for deluxe bedroom with en suite bathroom
- Approximately €1,950 or €1,500 per month depending on accommodation preference
Support & Application
Argo can provide letters of invitation and support for external funding applications. Recommend applying at least 6 months in advance if seeking funding. Residents have the option to participate in group excursions and a public Open Studios. May be asked to give artist talks, lead workshops, or participate in skill shares.
