New Mexico State Committee of NATIONAL MUSEUM OF WOMEN IN THE ARTS 2027 Biennial Juried Exhibition

Overview

Her Art, Her Voice is a celebration of the vitality and uniqueness of women artists of New Mexico. This is the second biennial juried exhibition of the New Mexico State Committee of NMWA, co-hosted by Turner Carroll Gallery and GF Contemporary Gallery on Canyon Road in Santa Fe. Works will be sold during the exhibition by the galleries.

• May 15, 2026: Submissions Open
• September 30, 2026: Submissions Close
• November 10, 2026: Selections Announced
• February 27-28, 2027, 10am-5pm: Artwork hand delivery required
• March 5, 2027: Show Opens, VIP reception
• March 6, 2027: Public Opening
• April 3, 2027: Show Closes
• April 4-5, 2027, 10am-5pm: Pick up unsold artwork

Eligibility

• Must be a woman-identifying artist
• Must be a resident of New Mexico
• Must be a member of New Mexico State Committee of NMWA
• Must have an Artist Registry page on the NMC of NMWA website or have submitted the application by August 31, 2026

Submission Requirements

Submit up to 3 images of original artworks created after January 2024. All mediums and subject matters will be considered. No limits on size or price.

Submission Fee

$50 for up to three artworks. All proceeds benefit the NMC-NMWA. Application fee is non-refundable for any reason.

Awards

• $1,000 Best of Show
• $700 Award of Excellence
• $400 Award of Merit
• $200 each for two Honorable Mention Awards

Jurors

Alexandra Terry, Head of Curatorial Affairs NM Museum of Art; Tonya Turner Carroll, co-owner of Turner Carroll Gallery; Deborah Fritz, owner of GF Contemporary. Juror for the Awards: Marissa Sage, Executive Director, NM Museum of Art.

Exhibition Details

The jury's only criteria for the artworks is excellence. Works will be on view March 5-April 3, 2027, at Turner Carroll Gallery (725 Canyon Road, Santa Fe, NM 87501) and GF Contemporary Gallery.
