B-MURALS opens its studio to host 6 to 8 artists distributed across 4 periods of 2 or 3 months to develop an artistic project with support for artistic creation, exploration, and research by urban artists and others who engage with public space.

  • Provide support for artistic creation, exploration, and research by urban artists and others who engage with public space.
  • Foster connections and create bridges between international artists and the Catalan artistic community.
  • Create a suitable space for the production of studio work and promote an exhibition context linked to public interventions in the city of Barcelona.
  • Develop the project with which you were selected; any changes must be properly explained to the organization.
  • Carry out a public and free presentation at the end of the residency (talk, installation, exhibition, showing, etc.). B-MURALS will collaborate in organization and communication; production costs are borne by the artist.
  • Acknowledge the support of B-MURALS in any public communications arising from the project (press, social media, or other formats).
  • Include the label 'made during the B-Murals residency' for one year following the end of the residency if work is exhibited in other venues.
  • Acknowledge the support of RESIDENCIA ONIX in at least 3 of all public communications deriving from the project (social media or other formats).
  • Donate one work produced during the residency to the B-MURALS art collection, chosen by mutual agreement.
  • Create a mural or an activity for residents of Residencia Onix or Unite Hostel, to be determined with the organization.
  • Be responsible for your own production, materials, meals, and travel.
